Dr. Dousdebes was born in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to the United States in 2007. She always dreamed of becoming a physician, and began her journey at Loyola University New Orleans, where she obtained a Bachelors in Science with a minor in Chemistry. She then attended LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she obtained her medical degree. After medical school, she completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA with LSU as well (Go Tigers)! She was drawn to Houston by all that the city has to offer, with the added bonus of being close to family.
Early in her medical school years, she developed an interest in woman’s health, which would then lead her to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her hope is to empower all of her patients to be the healthiest they can be, while providing them with evidence based care. Pregnancy brings a lot of joyful moments, but can also bring difficult times, and Dr. Dousdebes looks forward to guiding her patients through, and helping them navigate whatever comes their way. In the world of gynecology, she’s passionate about preventative medicine, contraception counseling, as well as addressing any problems that may arise in a woman’s lifetime.
She loves to travel, try new restaurants, watch movies, and LOVES to read. Her favorite type of vacation is one that includes a good book, and a beach! Always welcoming new restaurant or food recommendations. An added bonus of living in Houston is that her “new restaurants to try” list is endless!
